Every site is designed around the business it is for, using the owner's own photos and wording wherever possible. Each of these is finished and live, so you can open them and look around.
Gareth fits bathrooms and does plumbing and tiling work around Chesterfield. The site is built around photographs of jobs he has finished, with a page for each service and a gallery of his work.
Jordan is a roofer covering Newton Abbot and Torbay. Before this, he had no website of his own. His new site uses his own photographs and logo, and gives each of his services its own page.
Annie takes her stall of pocket-money gifts to fetes, fairs and school events across four counties. The site shows her range and tells visitors where the stall will be next.
Chevette are a four-piece punk band fronted by Brian Chevette, a founder member of Eater. They needed one place for their music, gig dates and booking details, with the look of the band rather than a business.

Your site goes live on a web address in your name, such as yourbusiness.co.uk. I can help you register one if you do not have it yet.
Your site is hosted on fast, secure servers with an SSL certificate, at no extra cost to you.
Once your site is live, I can keep it up to date for you and make any changes you need on a monthly care plan.
How it works
Most websites are finished within one to two weeks. Everything can be done by email, phone or WhatsApp, whichever suits you best.
You tell me what you do, where you work and what you would like the website to do for you.
I design and build a first version of your site and send you a private link to look at.
You send your photos, wording and any changes. Three rounds of changes are included.
When you are happy with it, I put it live on your own domain and make sure everything works.
About
I'm Raffy Chuter, a freelance web designer from Farnham in Surrey. I build websites for small businesses alongside my degree at the University of Bristol, and I work with clients all over the UK.
Most of the people I work with are busy running their business and have never had a website before. I try to make the process as easy as possible for them: I build the first version, they tell me what to change, and I take care of the technical side, before and after it goes live.

It depends on the size of the site and what you would like it to do, so every website is quoted individually. Once I know a little about your business, I will give you a clear price before you commit to anything, and there is nothing to pay until you are happy with the finished site.
Hosting is included. Your domain name, such as yourbusiness.co.uk, is paid for separately each year. Some clients also choose a monthly care plan, where I keep the site up to date and make changes for them, but it is entirely optional.
Usually one to two weeks. The first draft is quick to put together; most of the time is spent waiting for photos and wording, so the sooner those arrive, the sooner your site can go live.
No. I can build the first draft from the information already available about your business, and you can send your own photos and changes when you have them.
You do. The domain is registered in your name and the website is yours once it is live. You are free to move it elsewhere at any time, whether or not you are on the care plan.
Then you do not pay. I would rather you only pay for a website you are genuinely happy with.
Yes, if you would like to. I can set up a simple editor for your text and photos. Most clients prefer to send me their changes on the care plan instead, and I make them for you.
I do not build full online shops that take card payments, or sites with customer accounts and logins. If you need something I cannot do well, I will tell you and point you in the right direction.
