Email me

I build your website first. You pay only if you like it.

I'm Raffy. I'm at university in Bristol, and I build websites for small businesses alongside my degree. You see yours finished before you decide anything.

If you got an email from me, there's already a demo of your site in it. If you found me some other way, tell me about your business and I'll build one.

What it costs

Here's the price. Nothing hidden behind it.

£200 for a finished website
An agency would charge
£1,000 and up for the same job.

£200 whether it's one page or six. Pages aren't the work. The back-and-forth is, so that's what I cap: three rounds of changes, then it's finished.

It's cheap because I'm a student. No office, no staff, nothing to pay for but my time. I'd rather have real finished sites behind me than charge agency prices for my first ones.

What you get

  • As many pages as you need
  • Three rounds of changes
  • Your own photos, prices and words
  • Works properly on a phone
  • A contact form that emails you
  • A map showing where you are
  • Titles and descriptions set up for Google
  • Live on your own domain name

Not included: the domain name itself, which is about £10 to £15 a year. You pay that directly, not to me. Hosting is free on what I use.

You only pay if you're happy with the finished site. You approve it, you pay, then it goes live on your own domain. Don't like it? You don't pay.

How it works

You see it before you decide anything.

Most designers ask you to imagine it. I'd rather build it and show you.

  1. No cost

    I build a first version

If I emailed you, it's already built and the link is in that email. Otherwise tell me about your business and I'll build one. The photos and words on it are made up, there to show you the shape of the thing.

  2. No cost

You tell me what to change

Your photos. Your prices. Your words. Your colours. Most people's first reply is a list of corrections, and that's the useful bit. Three rounds of changes are included.

  3. £200

You approve it, then it goes live

When you're happy with it, you pay and it goes live on your own domain. If you're not, you don't pay and that's the end of it.

Recent work · one job, done properly

I'd rather show you one real site than ten demos.

This one is finished, paid for, and live on her own domain. Have a look. It's the standard I'd build yours to.

The Mad Hatter's Pop Up Party Shop homepage: a confetti logo and bunting above a photograph of the stall's shelves full of pocket-money toys.
The business
Mad Hatter's Pop Up Party Shop. Annie sells pocket-money gifts for children. She takes the stall round fetes, fairs and school events across Bucks, Berks, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.
What she needed
Somewhere to show the range and the prices, and to say where the stall will be next. No checkout. She sells at the events.
What she got
A two-page site on her own domain. She changes the words and swaps the photos herself, without asking me.
The price
£200 for the site. £50 for the self-editing setup.

Straight answers

The questions I get asked most.

What if I already have a website?

Then I'm probably not who you need, unless it's very old or you can't edit it yourself. I mostly build for people starting from nothing.

What don't you do?

Online shops that take card payments. Booking systems. Anything with customer logins. I build showcase sites: your pages, photos, prices, opening hours, a map and a contact form. If you need one of the others, I'll say so rather than take your money.

How long does it take?

A week or two. The building isn't the slow part. Waiting on your photos and wording is.

Do I have to meet you?

No. It's all done by email and phone. I'm in Farnham, but I build for people all over the UK.

Who owns it afterwards?

You do. The domain is in your name and the site is yours. You can move it elsewhere whenever you like.

Are you around during term time?

Yes. I do this alongside my degree, so I'm on email all year round. Once your site is live it keeps running with nothing to switch on or off, and if you'd rather not rely on me for changes, I can set it up so you edit it yourself, like Annie does.

Get in touch

Tell me about your business.

Tell me what you do and roughly where you are, and I'll build something and send it over. If you already have a demo from me, tell me what you'd change about it. Either way, it doesn't commit you to anything.

If I emailed you and you'd rather I didn't again, reply "no thanks" and that's the end of it. No follow-ups, and I'll take your address off the list.
